I don’t want to speak for the admins, but I think the pinning of topics is reserved for very informative or helpful threads that are also beneficial to the community as a whole.

 

While this thread is certainly entertaining, and a great place to post items found in the Mailbox Formation, it doesn’t quite meet the above criteria. Longevity (i.e. page count) of a thread doesn’t automatically qualify it for pinning. We have many threads with hundreds of pages that have become community favorites.
 

And as @Top Trilo said... It’s usually at the top of the list anyway.  
 

BTW... Nice score with your  ammos and Amber!

I got this croc dorsal vertebra this weekend. From the Kem Kem Group, Morocco. Isolated vertebra centra can often be hard to identify. So it's nice to have a vertebra that still has the neural arch intact.

Very nice! I imagine you paid a handsome sum for this, nice purchase, if vertebrates were cooler than invertebrates - nah, I'm just kidding, I'm jealous all the same!

Pinned topics are those that are informative to the public, but could get lost in the shuffle.

Here are two new additions to my collection, they are two lovely brachiopods from the Frasnian of Russia.

The first is a Cyrtospirifer rudkinesis from the Voronezh region:

and the second was labelled as Chonopectus elcicus, from the neighboring Lipetsk region in Russia:

I was not able to confirm the ID on this one as I couldn't find any descriptions of the characteristics that identify these brachiopods or any images of them. I did find a PDF that states that the brachiopod is found in this area so unless I find any contradicting information, I will keep this ID.

 

Both of these fossils were really exciting additions to my collections as I have very few late Devonian fossils, on top of that I find productids really cool and having one from the Devonian is amazing.

Usually I'm finding them myself, but I ended up buying a brachiopod fossil last week online. I couldn't really take a pass on it. Its a lovely Mississippian aged Composita sp. brachiopod from Alabama, with it's brachidium exposed. Here are a few photos of the same brach in different lighting.

 

I've spoken with this seller prior a couple times. He is nice, and included an extra bag of rougher/ for prep brachiopods along with the purchase. After some cleaning, I ended up finding two more with some exposure.  Lesson of the day, always make sure to clean up your brachiopods because there may be more beauty that lie within.

Also I believe Pachyscyllium is the accepted genus now for this tooth. You may want to look at the paper describing the fauna found at Mazan which is similar to Bonpas. Could be helpful since you have matrix to search !

Thanks  read through the paper, very useful, thanks, i think that its a Premontreia dachiardi, its the most common and pretty similar

Won auction last night for this juvenile Camptosaurus ichium. Unfortunately, it has a repair that's like the Hulk had a go at it. But still, I'm pleased to have it. 

 

My first Morrison Formation fossil, my first US Jurassic fossil and my first identifiable dino bone that isn't a vertebra. Also, my biggest individual fossil but have a slightly larger multi-bone slab from Morocco. Got it for a very surprisingly low price too.

 

Thanks to Troodon for taking a look at it. Much appreciated.

Oh wow! That's indeed an amazing specimen! I don't think I've seen them that good come from the IoW before - not on the commercial market at least (now I don't collect dinosaur, but whenever something IoW comes by I always take a look)! Simply stunning!

Saw the thread in which this was identified. Pretty cool bone, such a peculiar shape too! Pity I don't collect dinosaur, as this is definitely an intriguing piece that would grace many a collection! Well done on winning the auction!

 

The reason you might have gotten it on the cheap, by the way, could be the restore and slight deviance from the norm you guys discussed in the other thread. Things like that can throw other collectors off, and mean a great bargain for the one who does go for it

Very nice tooth man, but this looks nothing like the Sarcosuchus teeth I have. This is most likely a Suchomimus tooth, so congrats on that.

I just got this huge Bahariasaurus tooth, 2.5 inches. From morocco. I understand it could be a tyrannosaurid, but not much is known about this dinosaur as far as I can tell
