I received a lovely parcel from Ralph earlier today!:D

He sent me a wonderful batch of Mazon Creek fossils, as follows

Fist off a couple of Pecopteris fern fronds.

Nice specimens!  Here is an idea for how I chose to display a similar one.  Not too hard to put together, at least in th US.  I don’t know about Morocco.

And to top it all off, two coprolites from the Oligocene White River :

20180110_213347-1.thumb.jpg.16301ee10cfa73e55c13019fa1428830.jpg

it seems people in the US like to post me coprolites, that's the third parcel recently containing poop and one of them wasn't even a TFF member. :D

Not that I'm complaining !

Thanks so much Ralph, I love it all and it got here despite going round in circles in Illinois and then stuck at my local sub-post-office whilst one of my neighbours was walking around with the delivery note!

Golly!

But all's well that ends well!

Thanks again, much appreciated.

Got this of the postman today, he does get around a bit. The last couple of weeks I have spotted some footcasts online been sold very cheaply.  Following in the wise footsteps of other TFF members I decided to buy one for the bargin price of £14

all-in.

Juvenile Herbivorou's Dinosaur Footcast  from Wealden , Sussex. U.K.

Very nice, is there some information that describes who these footcasts belong too?

Well Adam, I am sorry to say the package that I sent you does not contain poop.  I know it's a let down and you were hoping for more, but deal with it!

Hi @Troodon yes I have, funny enough our TFF family member @JohnBrewer also acquired from the same seller a footcasts  by same creature we think. John got the better deal as he got the right footcast and I got the lelft footcast who would want the left when you can have the right. :D

I think it is from a ornithopod .

Maybe you kids can work out a trade of sorts so one of you can end up with the complete set of right and left sides.

It's not like shipping would be exorbitant. You could probably just walk it over to the others house.

Yes, thats the famous North Carolina Butterstone.

Since it is so soft, do you have to consolidate?

@Nimravis Ralph, I'm very pleased that you liked the fossils.  I was hoping I could select something that you might not already have.  I appreciate your generosity in sending me (at the time, a perfect stranger) the Ordovician hash plate and the Cambrian trilobites from Georgia and was happy to reciprocate in some way.

With kind regards,

Tony
