@Tidgy's Dad how nice does my gifts look  on this thread.

Errrrrr, i don't think that's up to me to say!

I think they look generous in the extreme, marvelous and interesting!

But not as magnificent as they do in real life. :D;)

The Mammites needs a bit of prepping, but the substrate chips off quite easily. It's a good specimen.

Am I the only one who constantly checks for tracking updates when waiting for fossils to be delivered?

Just arrived.  2 pound piece of rough agatized dinosaur bone.  Can't wait to slice and polish.  Been wanting one of these for a long time and finally got around to buying one!:megdance:

I think this is part of the fun when you have a tracking number.

Seeing where the parcel is at any one time and watching it go round in circles!

Circles is right!  I have something coming from the Ukraine and from what I can decipher, it looks like it came to the US and came back to them.   Of course I could be reading it wrong, but it seems that way.

No- I always send a copy of the receipt with the tracking number on it, I want the receiver to see that I did send it and I also have it alert me when the item was delivered. I am like a little kid when sending or receiving- I want to know.

Well, I cut a slice.  Wow, that's hard stuff. Took a half hour to cut through it.  Here's the slice wet.

Indeed!

I can see the rock is not that wide all the way through, though.

So there'll be some smaller slices?

How many do you think you'll get out of it?

The 2 pound bone chunk is sort of conical, so each slice will get progressively smaller. But I'll bet that I can get five or six more nice slices out of it:yay-smiley-1:
